Nominees for the 2025 Spirit of Catholic Education Awards have been announced ahead of next month’s Catholic Education Week celebrations.
QCEC Executive Director Allan Blagaich made the announcement on Thursday 5 June 2025, saying the large number of nominees highlighted “the ongoing and important work being undertaken by staff, parents, carers and volunteers.”
More than 180 nominations were received from Catholic school communities across the State, recognising individuals and teams for excellence in their work, leadership, service, initiative and creating positive change for indigenous students.
The Spirit of Catholic Education Awards are presented annually in conjunction with Catholic Education Week to celebrate outstanding contributions to Catholic education in Queensland.
Recipients will be announced in July, before being presented with their Award at the Catholic Education Week State Launch event in Rockhampton on Wednesday 30 July.
“Congratulations to all those nominated and thank you to everyone who took time to submit nominations,” Mr Blagaich said.
