Catholic Education Week
Each year, in the third week of Term 3, students, staff and families from all 313 Queensland Catholic schools come together to celebrate the strength and spirit of their shared community. Guided by a scripture‑based theme, schools are supported with resources that encourage meaningful, locally tailored celebrations.
The week includes a special launch event hosted within one of Queensland’s five dioceses, with the host diocese rotating annually.
Launch event in 2026
Brisbane Catholic Education is hosting this year’s launch event, in the Archdiocese of Brisbane, on Tuesday 28 July.
The celebration will begin with Mass at 10am at Brisbane’s St Stephen’s Cathedral, presided over by the Most Reverend Shane Mackinlay Archbishop of Brisbane. Followed by the Spirit of Catholic Education Awards presentations.
